How do you stand out in a crowded market?

A very common dilemma. 

The emergence of internet has given us amazing opportunity to follow our dreams. Somehow your entrepreneur's dream has hit the wall of reality. No one is knocking on your door, your business is lost in a sea of similar businesses shouting for attention. You don't want the be one the one who shouts the loudest, your aim is to build long term relationships, how do you stand out?

As I explained in my previous blog posts, you biggest asset to set you apart is to focus on what makes you unique. I want to encourage you to bank on this biggest asset that is YOU and your unique way of thinking.

When you launched your business you just launched it. Were looking forward inspired by other successful entrepreneurs. You followed step-by-step webinars, subscribed to posts, newsletters, bought quite a few online courses, about marketing and selling yourself. You felt very excited when your business launched. Something was missing though, you have forgotten about putting yourself into the picture.

What do you mean?

You were so anxious to succeed that your strategy was " if I apply, the tried and tested methods of the gurus I am following, I will have a 100% success rate and avoid failure". While it's important to have guidance, mentoring and coaching can definitely help you lifting your business. Taking control is key tough! Don't forget to apply your own methods and personal way of thinking to succeed.

You don't want be a clone business or even worse being a cheap copy of the latest bragged millionaire coach, or quick fix successful entrepreneur? Do you? Instead be brave en enough to develop  your own ideas and purpose, to put yourself forward as YOU and not as a below average copy of x,y,z this will :

1.Give you the confidence that you're making a difference to the people you serve, what they're getting from you is as unique as you are!

2.Imagine yourself like cooking from a recipe. At the beginning you start to follow the guideline, then  you add passion, personality and your unique angle to the business to create a sweet spot and stand out in a crowded market.

3. Distance yourself from everything you've learned before launching your own venture. Do you feel that the business you are about to launch, is in line with who you are as a human being, do you feel aligned?

4.Help you choose a greater purpose than just money as the motor for your business.

5. Don't expect overnight success, be consistent, creating an audience via content might take you up to a year.

People have a thirst for authenticity, being yourself will attract clients consistently being who you are and what you stand for. A business aligned with your purpose, passion, beliefs will attract the people you want to serve. While the temptation is high to emulate someone's else success via a proved method, there is no guarantee that it will work for you, why would you want to be a copycat of someone else?

Being yourself, letting the world know about your differences, why clients should work with you, means taking a much braver stance yes! This will also set you up on a much longer distance path, than just craving short term success.
